Italian Summer Table | Amazon Finds

An Italian summer table has a way of looking beautiful without ever trying too hard. After almost two years of setting tables outside here in Sicily, I’ve decided the look really comes down to a few honest things: good light, more lemons than seems reasonable, and a happy mix of blue and white with the bright, hand painted ceramics this island is famous for. A little colorful, a little imperfect, always relaxed.
I set a table like this constantly, sometimes for friends and more often just for us and whichever cat has claimed the best chair. None of it is fussy, and none of it is precious, which is rather the point.

The photo above is my inspiration for the look, and it happens to feature a lot of the pieces I keep in my Amazon storefront. You’ll find all of these to get the look on Amazon. Here are the five I reach for first:
Mr. White Cordless Brass Lamps (Set of 2)
The little secret behind that golden, lingering glow. They are cordless and rechargeable, so there is nothing trailing across the table and no scramble for an outlet. I charge them on the windowsill and forget about them until the sun drops. Worth every penny.
Bormioli Rocco Romantic Cooler Glasses
Those embossed aqua tumblers you see holding the lemon water. They have a lovely vintage weight to them, the kind of glass that feels like it has always been on the table, and the pressed detailing catches the light beautifully.
Yalin Unbreakable Acrylic Wine Glasses
That deep cobalt is the whole mood. They read as proper glass in every photo, but they are actually shatterproof acrylic, which matters when you are dining outdoors with a curious border collie orbiting the table.
Certified International Lemonade Pasta Bowls (Set of 4)
Big, generous bowls painted with cheerful lemons, and no two designs quite the same. This is exactly the hand painted ceramic look I love about Sicilian tables. They are made for pasta outdoors, but I use them for everything from summer salads to a scoop of gelato when no one is watching.
Artoid Mode Blue Lemon Table Runner
The lemon and blue runner that pulls the entire look together and quietly does half the work. It is under seven dollars, which still makes me laugh a little. 🍋
These are a few of my favorite pieces for the look, but they are really just the beginning. If you want to see the rest, the woven chargers, the swing top bottles, the olivewood board and everything else, I have gathered it all in one place.
